385 DAYS- CALLING ALL LOSERS!!!!!

All you food addicts and former food addicts out there know how difficult it can be to overcome this addiction. Ozzy Osbourne said that of all the drugs he's done in his entire life, (and we all know THAT number is about as high as the number of calories I need to cut out of my daily routine,)that cigarettes was by far the hardest one to quit. Now, even as someone who has not experienced any drug addiction, I can say that I started smoking when I was 18, nearly 7 years ago (ouch) and I have quit about 8 times. The only time I was successful was during the pregnancy of both of my boys. ANYWAY... the point I'm trying to make here is... this doesn't even come CLOSE to my addiction to food. I could babble on ALL day with what I ate today, yesterday, and what I plan to eat tomorrow, but I'm not there yet. I am simply telling all of you that I have a goal now. A real goal. On my next birthday, I want to have lost 100 lbs. I know that's pretty specific, and it may be even more by then. But that's 385 days. I never dreamed I'd weight this much (all my stats with pics I'll post here in the next few days... SCARY) at the age of 26, or ever for that matter. But 385 days is a pretty small time period in the grand scheme of things. SO... I am CALLING ALL LOSERS. Losers of weight, losers of bad habits, and losers of negativity! I need your help. Can you share with me some things that helped you or are currently helping you with keeping up in healthy eating and maintaining a consistent workout? How have you been able to resist temptation? Anything will help. Come on... I want all the gorey details!! LOL. How can we help each other??? COMMENTS COMMENTS COMMENTS :) *step 1- "Hi, my name is Whitney... and I'm a foodaholic...."*

  1. I'm here for ya sister! Think of it this way... you quit smoking while pregnant bc you didn't want it to affect the boys right? Eat healthy and exercise because they learn from us and a healthy lifestyle is not a promise for more years but better quality years. And you and I have rowdy boys we need to keep up with. I'm praying for ya babe! God has us in his hands with him anything is possible

  2. You are so beautiful and such an inspiration!! You can do this and by holding yourself accountable and sharing this publicly will help you to say "no" anytime you are tempted. That was the first step. Once you start eating better, you will feel better both mentally and physically. In time, THIS way of life will become an addiction and the RIGHT kind of addiction!! A positive one that will not only benefit you, but your boys that need you around for a long, long time and for their mommy to be healthy. :) Also, give yourself one day each week to be your cheat day and treat yourself with something you enjoy. In moderation of course.... And don't feel guilty about it. This will also help your metabolism and give you a boost if you hit a lull. I'm so proud of you and am here for you!! This is helping me to eat better and start exercising. When I was sick with the flu a little over a month ago, it was horrible not to be able to do the daily things I can do, simply because of feeling good and being healthy. Your journey is going to help me to get back into my daily walks and running again, rather than taking that gift for granted. I love you gorgeous and am here for you and excited to watch you progress through this amazing journey you are beginning. One day at a time.... ;) xoxo

  3. Hey girl! I started on my journey about a month ago and when the exercises get too much and I feel like I want to bail I think 2 things:
    1) The joy of the Lord is my strength and I can do all things with Him. This has become my mantra and I often have to repeat it constantly to mentally prepare and then again when I'm so close to the end of the workout and all I just want to call it good.
    2) I ALWAYS feel so much but after my workout! It has also helped me sleep so much better.
Love you dear! I'm proud of you!

    1. Martha!! So glad you commented!! I think portion control is definitely the hardest thing for me. Do you think keeping a food journal really does help? I'm considering doing it. 50lbs by your birthday... YOU CAN DO IT! You are already looking great. Can't wait to see you progress. Love you and miss you!!
