3-Week Jumpstart to the Biggest Year of My Life

Good morning my beatifuls!! If you've read my earlier posts, you know that I am in a wedding this weekend. I kinda gave up on dropping the weight before the event, and have had it in my head that I'll start over as soon as the events of this weekend are all over with. But the more blogs I read, the more success stories I read, and the more encouragement I am getting from my God and my friends and family, the more clear it is to me. Why on Earth would I not start this very minute. So I am challenging myself TODAY. With 3 specific things. 1- Logging my meals (calories) and exercise with the Lose It! app. (Sidenote: I'd love to know if any of you prefer any other apps over this one, i.e. MyFitnessPal or Noom.) And 2- to do at least one workout every day. I have a treadmill that is bad to the bone with speakers and everything. I LOVE IT! I will go between that and yoga and a couple Biggest Loser videos I have. (At least to start.) Finally 3- KEEPING UP WITH THE NO SMOKING! I have an app on my phone called Cessation Nation and it gives me all kinds of stats regarding not smoking, all based on the minute you had your last cigarette. It's really helping! So yes, I have 3 weeks until my 26th birthday. That will be my Day 1 marker for having a year to drop the 100lbs. But I would like to JUMPSTART myself for the next 3 weeks. I am reading everywhere that small goals help. So that's what this is. My first small goal. Over the next 3 weeks, my goals are as follows: -Log meals/exercise daily for 3 weeks -Drop 10 lbs by the end of said 3 weeks -Stay off the cigarettes!! :)-Be ready to post pics of myself and my starting point. So there you have it. My first challenge and my first small goal. Please let me know what small OR big goals you are working on. That's why we're all here... to support one another and love on each other. So grateful to serve such a loving God that doesn't allow us to face such big (and small) things alone. Truly blessed!!

  1. I love the pic you posted! It's so true that conquering anything starts with a positive attitude! You've got this! My small goal for to accomplish by the end of next week is to break out of the 160# zone. Been stuck here for about 3 weeks. I'm determined to see the scale display 150something. :-) Have a fabulous losing....but really winning....day!

      First of all let me just say that I am JEALOUS of the 160's. Whole heartedly. And I don't care WHO knows it! LMAO. Awesome that you're sticking with it even after being stuck for 3 weeks. That's the key truly!!! Are you working out a lot? Can't wait to hear more. You can do this! You're awesome and beautiful and I love you and I'm praying we help each other get through this! Woop Woop!

    2. Lol I feel you! I work out 5 days a week. M/T/W/F/St. Cardio 4 of those days, ab workout 3 of them and weight lifting 2 days. It's tough on some days but God always knows what encouragement I need to hear and gives it to me. I'm excited to be sharing in this with you! Nothing matches the force of a determined woman. :) Love you and miss you! We should talk more. Haahaa

    3. So you take Thursdays and Sundays off? I am truly so proud of you. Are you going to a gym? ARE YOU RUNNING AT SUNRISE ON THE BEACH???!!!! Lol.....thanks for the determined woman quote. I like it a lot! We will definitely be in touch more now. I am super stoked!!!!

    4. Yes, Thursday and Saturday, I take a break. I go to the gym at my condo complex and I do some running outside. Sadly, not at the beach though. Lol I'm about 20mins from there. :-)

    5. I think that's awesome. Have you found a church down there yet? How great that your condo has a place you can work out!! *jealous* How's the running going? Last time I talked to you u hadn't been to the beach at all yet *ridiculous* so you better get on that! I'm sure you went this summer though! It's finally starting to get chilly here. YAY! Anyway.     6. Haven't found a church yet. :( It's hard with 2 other people and we all have different things we are looking for. I have gone to the beach...once. lol I wish it was starting to get chilly here too. Silly FL. How was your first day of logging? And your continuation of not smoking? Girl power!!! hahaha

  2. My goal is 10 pounds by October 18th. That is pre-lance weight. I love you and I'm praying for you during this awesome journey

    1. I think that's a wonderful, and very doable goal my friend! And the fact that you'll be pre-baby weight. How amazing is that!!!!!! Do small goals work better for you? I just can't get that big ONE HUNDRED out of my head!! :) Praying for you as well gorgeous! Thank you so so much.
